In Q2 2024, the fitness and weight loss app market on the Android platform demonstrated a variety of trends, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a snapshot of how the top apps performed during this period.

komoot - hike, bike & run experienced a steady revenue with figures fluctuating between $113K and $242K. Downloads saw a peak at nearly 30K in early April and May, before stabilizing at around 20K towards the end of June. Weekly active users started strong at 1.6M but dipped to just over 1M mid-quarter, recovering to roughly 1.3M by the end of June.

YAZIO Food & Calorie Counter maintained a consistent revenue stream, hovering around $130K to $150K. Downloads remained fairly stable, with numbers ranging from 14K to 18K. The app’s weekly active users presented a slight upward trend, starting at 588K and reaching 647K in early June, before slightly dropping to around 620K.

Fitbit showed a varied revenue pattern, peaking at $74K mid-April before settling around $47K towards the end of June. Downloads for Fitbit were modest, with the highest at approximately 6.6K at the start of April and tapering off to about 4.4K. The number of weekly active users stayed within the 380K to 407K range throughout the quarter.

Geocaching® saw its revenue peak at $31K in early April, with a noticeable drop to around $13K by late June. Downloads dipped from 5.8K to just over 2.5K, and weekly active users exhibited a relatively stable trend, remaining close to 17K.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike had a revenue ranging from $19K to $33K. Downloads hit a high of 14.9K in mid-April but later decreased to around 7.8K. The weekly active users for Strava showed an increasing trend, starting at 267K and growing to nearly 297K by the end of the quarter.
